International Renewable Energy Agency (“IRENA”) and Terrawatt Initiative (“TWI”) jointly maintain this website as a courtesy to those who may choose to access it (the “Users”). All the information, documents, materials (collectively, “Materials”) in the Site are made available to the general public free of charge under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 IGO license and subject to the terms and conditions set out below. The use of this website constitutes agreement with the following terms and conditions:
IRENA and/or TWI shall have the permission to use any contribution provided by Users in relation to the Material. The contributors agree to grant to each of IRENA and TWI permission to use their contribution (including to modify and adapt it) in any way IRENA and TWI see fit in any media worldwide. Copyright in the contribution will remain with the User providing such contribution and this permission is not exclusive. As a contributor, you can continue to use the material in your contribution and allow others to use it. You understand and agree that the Material , which may include part or all of your contribution in its original form or in a modified or adapted form, will be made available to the general public free of charge under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 IGO license.
You, the contributor, represent that you are legally entitled to provide your contribution and that it does not infringe any protected right of any third party.
As a condition of use of this Site, the User agrees to indemnify each of IRENA and TWI and their affiliates from any and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including the reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of the User’s use of this Site and Materials. If the User is dissatisfied with this Site and/or the Materials, the User’s sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use thereof.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms of Use and Disclaimer shall be referred by either party to the dispute to final and binding arbitration by one arbitrator under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. The award of punitive damages is excluded.
Nothing in these terms shall be deemed to be a waiver, express or implied, of any of the privileges and immunities of IRENA, which are specifically reserved.

The Open Solar Contracts (hereinafter the "Contracts") and the User Guidelines (hereinafter the "Guidelines") are provided for general guidance only and are provided without representation or warranty of any kind either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of fitness for any particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall IRENA and/or TWI nor any participant, contributor or advisor to the Contracts and the Guidelines be liable to any user of the Contracts or Guidelines or any other third party in connection with the Contracts or the Guidelines or the use of or reliance upon the Contracts or the Guidelines. Any individual or other entity that uses or relies upon any or all of the Contracts or the Guidelines, does so applying its own skill and judgment and should obtain professional advice whenever appropriate. Any individual or other entity that uses or relies upon any or all of the Contracts or the Guidelines accepts this disclaimer and waives any claim (including any claim for negligence) in any jurisdiction it may otherwise have against the International Renewable Energy Agency and the Terrawatt Initiative as well as against any participant, contributor or advisor to the Contracts and the Guidelines, arising out of such use of or reliance upon the Contracts or the Guidelines.
IRENA and TWI reserve their exclusive right in their joint sole discretion to alter, limit or discontinue the Site or any Materials in any respect. IRENA and TWI shall have no obligation to take the needs of any User into consideration in connection therewith.
By accessing this Site, certain information about the User, including but not limited to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses may be stored in Open Solar Contracts servers. IRENA and/or TWI will not share such information with the general public but do not assume any responsibility for its security.
IRENA and TWI reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use and Disclaimer at their discretion without prior notice.
No waiver by IRENA and/or TWI of any of the provisions in these Terms of Use and Disclaimer shall be binding except as set forth in writing and signed by their respective duly authorized representatives.
